Per a request to discuss the beliefs of universalists, Thailer addresses some of the biblical basis behind such concepts as the reconciliation of all people to God. On our way to understanding the desire for all to be saved, we might discover different ways in which our own vision of salvation falls drastically short. This discovery comes by analyzing Paul's longest sentence and one of his rarest words, all in introduction to Ephesians.


Ultimately, for Paul, the mystery of God's purpose in the world includes a redemption as broad as the universe, placing Christ as head of the entire created order. What would it be like to live like this was true - that God is busy retelling (Eph.1.10), restoring (Ac.3.21), reconciling (Col.1.20), and renewing (Mt.19.28) all things - good and bad, to work for his glory?
